Man Crush Monday #MCM

My man crush: Sam. I don't know where I would be without him. He is my rock. My bestie. My Chef. I would starve to DEATH without him. He makes me laugh - even when I don't want to. He is the first one to tell me if I should change my outfit, if I need to brush my hair.......he has been with me through some serious haircuts, colors, and changes. Everything I do is made possible by Sam. If I'm scared to try something he tells me I NEED to do it. Ever wonder where my awesome workout attire comes from? Sam ok's each purchase because he knows it makes me happy. He will give you the shirt off his back and then make you laugh so hard you might need to change your under-roo's.

This guy......I smile just thinking about him.

I love to be able to cheer for him - He cheers for me every day

8 years and still going

Tuesday was our 8 year wedding anniversary. We've been dying to go to Rosa Mexicano for a while and we finally made it happen! They have 1/2 off margaritas ans apps from 4-7 and the menus looked great!

Dropped the boys off with Nanna and Pop Pop

Driving up to National Harbor

Gonna have to try this restaurant

First drink, a margarita

So delicious!

Pork belly and diver scallop taco. So delish

Cheese fondu with Chorizo on top

That guacamole did not stand a chance!
Then we changed locations. We realized we needed to walk away from the margaritas. There was a restaurant down the street called Bond 45. The menu was EXPENSIVE so we just drank - that would come back to haunt us. They had prohibition style drinks and served them to you in tea pots. So much fun!

HEMINGWAY DAIQUIRI
Bacardi rum, maraschino liqueur, fresh grapefruit, fresh lime juice

The drink was SOOOO good.

She is clearly a superstar. She never took her sunglasses off

WHISKEY SMASH
Maker’s Mark, orange curaƧao, mint, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup

We had such a great night. We picked the boys up and everyone was asleep by 8:30! I was exhausted the next day - and all this week! Totally worth it

Summer is coming ito an end....

It's been awhile since I last posted - this summer has been crazy! We were in 14 different states this summer....all in a car. This picture sums that up:

A lot of naps in the car, movies, and snacks got us from Virginia to Minnesota, Virginia to Corolla, and then Corolla to Florida. Whew! Fun Fun Fun summer.

Sam is gearing up for his first 1/2 Ironman in Williamsburg, Va. I'm so excited to watch him complete this race - it's been a long time coming. He's worked really hard to get here and we are all so proud of him!

What have I been up too? I just finished 8 weeks of P90X and now I'm incorporating running to get ready for the Army 10 Miler. This will be the first time I'm doing this race - really excited about it. I'm discovering that to feel my best I need to be strength training and running/biking/swimming. If you want to do it, you'll find the time. Right?

I have started back at work - kids show up Tuesday. I love being with all my peeps at work again, so fun! Sammy starts Kindergarten and his orientation is today. I might cry, I also might throw up. Hopefully there will be no pictures of either.

Hope everyone is transitioning into Fall. I can't WAIT for pumpkin season!
