Wait....the 2011 training season started? Without me? Ugh!

Yep. That's right. My first 2011 race, Nations 1/2 Mary, is in 9 weeks and 3 days. Deep breath. No stress. Just look forward.......Ummmmmmm, I should probably start running more? I've been doing strength and biking, so I've got some good stuff going on there. Sunday I am swimming with Sam and our Tri Coach. And I should be getting my training plan from him this week.

Last night we did our first trainer ride in the living room. It was pretty fun. We watched the biggest looser - can't slack off!
The trainers all set up and ready to go!

We did have a face to face meeting with our new coach. We talked about the race season, goals, what we've done in the past....it was great. He actually gave me the green light for Beach to Battleship 70.3 and asked Sam "why aren't you doing it?" Sam basically said - if you think I can be ready, I'll do it. So, Sam and I will be doing our first 1/2 Ironman distance together in Oct! Yeah!!!! I've staked out hotels, got the grandparents on board. It will be great!

Meeting with our coach. Sammy took this one.

Why do I do all this? For me, for my family, for my husaband, for my kids (the clown and the monkey).

The clown and the monkey. That's how we went to daycare today

Now, I am bummed out that the running certification class I wanted to sign up for in April is SOLD OUT! Ugh! I will just have to keep looking. Grrrrrrr

What if Jillian and Tony had a baby.......

I've been obsessed lately with Jillian's 30 day shred. I just can't get enough of it. It kicks my ass, but it's such a good ass kicking.

I've been doing this video for a little while and usually use the level 3 workout. This week I did level 3 tuesday at 5:30am and today I did level 2 at 5:30 am. What a great way to get the day going. She just rocks. I wish I could get trained by her...but will just have to settle watching her on the ranch.

I mean, who wouldn't want to look like that?

My other new re-obsession is the P90X yoga. I've been doing that on Wednesdays, it's a long one so you really have to make time for it. It's such an amazing flexibility and strength workout without killing you (until the next day - oh those hammies). I did it yesterday and for the first time EVER I was able to do upward dog the way you are supposed to (see photo) - you know....nothing touching the ground except hands and toes! I couldn't believe it. I've been doing yoga for a while, but my strength must be really getting better, because this is the first time I was able to get both legs off the ground. Wahoo!!!!!

upward dog
I'm pretty sure that exactly what I looked like while doing it - we'll never know because I choose to do yoga solo right now.

This afternoon there is running on my agenda - tomorrow too. Then Saturday. Oh Saturday. I'm pretty scared of that morning right now. I'm going to my first team bike trainer ride. It's 1 hour and 50 minutes of a trainer ride. That's a lot. Sam will be with me - totally need help setting everthing up. I'm hoping to score a super yummy breakfast afterwards. We have a babysitter for the boys - does this count as a date?

Hoping for snow......

This week has started off great! There is snow in the forecast for tonight (snow day!!!), I wore a pair of pants yesterday that used to be too tight (!) AND I found a dollard in the pocket! I lost my camera, found it, I lost my watch, found it, AND lost my keys, found them!

We got a new family dinning table that fits our kitchen! First family meal all at the same place.

A bag of the Chai Seeds I won from trimommylife

My breakfast this morning. YUM. Peanut butter made it in the smoothie, but not the picture.

Thanks to the freezing weather I have been able to wear my Fexy sleeves on outdoor runs.

So, I'm praying for snow. I'll take a 2 hour delay, whole day off....anything! This has been such a good week so far - let's keep it going!

Yeah, I went there

Got myself a coach last night. Haven't finalized all the details, but Sam and I will be coached this season to ensure that we kick some serious ass! I'm pretty nervous about it, because it's such a serious/cool thing to have. A coach? Me? Really?

Also, in talking with him on the phone last night he pretty much made me realize I'll regret not signing up for Beach to Battleship 70.3 in Oct. So....looks like I will puke, register, and then puke again. I still cannot believe I'm doing this. I'm terrified, but I want it SO bad.

So I will start focusing on my upcoming races with 70.3 in the back of my mind. Whew! I think I need a drink.

- i need quiet time
